AS a matter of fact any intermediary gadget that translate our requirement through our input into the desired out put can be called a computer.

Analogue computers have been in existence for a long long time though we didnt call them computers. Sundial, abacus etc are also computers only.

Look at this pic below.

http://www.jetphotos.net/viewphoto.php?id=6193257&nseq=8

This is the cockpit of a modern jetliner. The pilot merely inputs all that he wants the airplane to do and through an array of computers the result is achieved. It is the man-machine interface and it even has touch screen controls for input and a mouse for each pilot as well.

The computers control through manual inputs or auto inputs so many of the engine functions, flight control functtions and navigational functions. Thats about the broad aspect of the computer interface in the cockpit.

Space here wont be enough to go through all the intricate details unless you are looking for a particular aspect of the man- machine interface. Rolling Eyes

thank you sir for your kind reply.,.,.,. Smile

yes, i'll xplain wot this term "computers" meant for me,in this "cockpits" case.,.,.

i felt.,.,those MONITORS and those side-KEYS ,.,.,and other various meters,in this pic above, as a complete assembly.,.,..which works in co-ordination,.,.,and let the pilot do his/her job.,.,.,

now , sir, i don't know the real technical names of these various meters and monitor screens and those controlling in-put buttons/keys.,.,..,

and there must be some working "back-end" ; which controls and let all cockpit components work.,.,.i felt that back-end as some REAL TIME OPERATING SYSTEM.,.,.,,.,which is integral part of computers

and moreover, in airbuses, there must be a LAN distribution of computers to various cabins.,.,.,

that too comes in computers.,.,.

so if you cud please enlist me these IMPORTANT parts.,.,i'll be thankful to to u.,.,.,.
